What we will not fake
We do not transcode HEVC video, build ICO files, or run OCR. If the decoder cannot read a still, the page says so instead of sending the file to a server.
FAQ
Can I convert HEIC or HEIF to JPG, JPEG, PNG, or WebP?
Yes, when the file is a still photo (the usual iPhone .heic / .heif). Bursts keep the first frame. Safari can often decode HEIC itself; other browsers use a local decoder in this tab. Nothing is uploaded.
Do you convert HEVC video?
No. HEVC/H.265 movies (.mov, .mp4, .hevc) are video. This page will refuse them. If an iPhone Live Photo gave you a HEIC plus a MOV, convert the HEIC still here and leave the movie alone.
Do you convert PDF on this page?
No. Use the PDF merger or the 2 MB PDF size reducer. Those are separate tools. We will not pretend one canvas can merge documents.
Does the image leave my computer?
The file is read locally and redrawn in this tab. Nothing is posted to Scriplit.
