Payment Processor Setup for a Foreign-Owned US LLC

A US LLC and an EIN get you in the door. Processors still want a bank account, a site or listing that matches the company, and an owner they can identify. We prepare the file and stay on the questions. We do not run Stripe, and we do not sell “guaranteed approval.”

Setup support, not a gateway we own

Scriplit already publishes payment-gateway work for websites. This page is the company-side onboarding: legal name, EIN, bank, and beneficial owners. If you also need cards on a Scriplit-built site, that is the Payment Integration service. Both can sit in one brief.

What reviewers actually look at

A live offer, a refund sentence, a matching legal name in the footer, and a bank that can receive payouts. A landing page that says “coming soon” with a Wyoming LLC is a weak file. We will tell you that before you burn an application.

Who this is for

Shopify or custom checkout

You need a US Stripe or similar account tied to the LLC, not a personal account from home.

Marketplace sellers

Payouts have to land in a business account whose name matches the seller of record.

Agencies and freelancers

Invoices in dollars. Clients who will not wire a personal account in another country.

Already declined

A second application with the same thin site usually fails the same way. We fix the file first.

What you get

Matching identities

LLC, EIN, bank, and site footer use the same legal name.

Owner KYC pack

IDs and addresses ready for the people the form asks about.

Processor-specific notes

Stripe is not PayPal. We do not paste one checklist onto every brand.

Website work if you need it

If the blocker is the site, that is a Scriplit web job — quoted separately, not hidden in formation.

How the process works

  1. 1

    Name the processor

Stripe, PayPal Business, Wise, Payoneer, or another path you already started.

  2. 2

    Align the public face

Legal name, product, and refund language on the site or listing.

  3. 3

    Connect the bank

Payouts need an account the processor will credit. Bank setup comes first if that file is empty.

  4. 4

    Submit and answer holds

You apply. We help with document requests. The decision is the processor’s.

What we need from you

  • LLC documents and EIN letter.
  • A business bank account, or a realistic plan to open one first.
  • A URL or marketplace listing that shows what you sell.
  • Owner ID for every person the application treats as a controller.

Read this before you start

  • High-risk categories get extra review. We will not pretend otherwise.
  • A US LLC does not override sanctions or prohibited-business lists.
  • Reserve, rolling reserve, or extra ID requests are normal. They are not a Scriplit fee.

Common mistakes

Personal processor, business payouts

Mixing a personal PayPal with an LLC invoice is how accounts get limited.

Applying with a parked domain

Reviewers want evidence of a real offer.

Different doing-business-as everywhere

Trade names that never appear on the Articles confuse KYC.

Paying a stranger for a “aged Stripe”

Do not buy someone else’s account. We will not help with that.

FAQ

Many can, once the LLC, EIN, and bank exist and the site matches. Stripe decides. We prepare the file.

Not always. Some reviews ask for more ID than others. If a form demands a US taxpayer number for you personally, that is an ITIN conversation — not an EIN conversation.

No. Payment Integration is engineering checkout on a site. This page is company onboarding. You can hire both.

No. Anyone who sells a guaranteed Stripe account is selling you a story.

Send the rejection note. Sometimes the fix is a document. Sometimes the category is blocked. We will say which.

Scriplit LLC is a Wyoming company that helps non-residents form US LLCs and prepare US information and tax filings. We are not a CPA firm or a law firm. This page is general information, not advice for your facts. Home-country tax, treaties, and your actual activity can change the result.

Show us the store or the invoice flow

A processor application without a real offer is a delay. Send the LLC papers and a link to what you sell.
